Blue8791 Scholar: Paul Danielle E. Fernandez

In 2016, we celebrated our 25th anniversary by raising funds for an endowment to pay for the tuition and fees of a Senior High School student for two years. In 2019, our first scholar graduated from ASHS and is now doing very well in the Loyola Schools. This year, our second scholar graduated, along with three other scholars, all of whom we provided with food allowances. All four of them have been accepted in the Loyola Schools with full scholarships, but where they will study is not yet final because—like most of their peers—they are still waiting for the UP results. What follows are their graduation photos, as well as the writeups we asked them to submit.=====Paul Danielle E. FernandezScience, Technology, Engineering, and MathematicsAteneo de Manila Senior High SchoolClass of 2021During my two-year stay in ASHS, I met some of the best, kindest, and most supportive people I know. I truly felt that I was taken care of by my teachers and moderators. There were countless highs and lows, but I managed to push through and make it to the finish line with a smile on my face. In Grade 11, I managed to receive the First Honors Award for both semesters. In Grade 12, my two semestral QPIs were both 4.00, making my yearly QPI equivalent to 4.00 as well. Starting this Monday, June 21, I will begin my college studies in the University of Santo Tomas under the program BS Basic Human Studies (LEAPMed). I am still aiming to get a 50% scholarship grant from the university. However, this is not yet final since the results of the UP Admissions and DOST Scholarship are yet to be released. In case I pass the UP Admissions, particularly the INTARMED program, there is a chance that I will transfer to UP Manila. Again, thank you very much for your assistance for the past two years. Studying and graduating from the Ateneo would not have been possible without your support. I will be forever grateful and indebted to your group. 💙
